For serious? How does this scenario come to be? Would all of our current football players abilities translate to soccer? Would there be an rise in talented players coming out of the woodworks saying "Now that I'm not hidden behind TO's shadow I can at last dominate any and every opponent!"?
I guess this point makes sense. American football is the reason our soccer games don't sell out.

If soccer players in America made what players in the NFL or NBA made, colleges would become soccer factories, cranking out soccer players left and right.

Not only that but all the cheerleaders would be banging soccer players instead of football players so more kids would go out for soccer.

American football and everything that surrounds it is hilariously stupid.
Thats the reason most of the planet literally laughs at it.
Of course the average meatball fan of it is typically oblivious to that fact. Theyre also usually oblivious to other things too.
ie: common sense, weight management and breathing through the nose.

Even with soccer relegated to a third-tier sport in this country, America is still one of the most dominant soccer countries at the international competitive level.

The league minimum is something like 12,000$ for the MLS compared to something like 300,000$ for the NFL

Depends on what you consider a sport. I'd say seventh tier at best, behind NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NASCAR and PGA. And that's unfortunate, IMO.

If by this you mean, "one of the 30 best teams on Earth", yes. If you mean "able to qualify for the World Cup from a confederation which has exactly one other good team (Mexico)", you're right. But the USA would likely not qualify from any UEFA (Europe) group, and maybe not from CONMEBOL (South America. Ten nations hold a double round-robin), even though they generally receive 4.5 slots for the modern 32-team Cup.

In any case, they are not "one of the most dominant..." by any stretch of the imagination. Only Brasil, Germany, Argentina, Italy, France and maybe England on a good day have earned this rep... unless you're talking about women's football. :D

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here on this one, for one, most of the planet does have a good deal of respect for American football, they just don't give a ****, but anyone can see how great of athletes these guys are, i cant think of any other sport that compares to the level of athleticism thats present in the nfl, granted, its not everybody's favorite sport

but.. I'm not even going to try and stick up for football fans
