"If the dancer is turning clockwise, then you tend to use more of your right side. If she is turning counter-clockwise, then your more left sided."

I think this only applies to right-handed people, as the right/left brain hemisphere functions are often reversed in lefties. I can only see her go counter clockwise but the right side brain function category best descibes me, but I'm a lefty.

I can see her spinning both ways, too.

But this is complete bull****. It doesn't have anything to do with being left- or right-brained.

EDIT: Not until I saw THIS PAGE could I see it spin counter clockwise. Even so, I have to concentrate, and WANT it to spin that way to see it.

Still, I can at least see it now.

after about ten minutes, i finally was able to see it CCW. it's strange because it's like you're laying on the floor looking at her turn where as CW is looking down as if looking at a stage.

She's not turning in circles. She just goes back and forth like a sprinkler.

I have yet to figure out how they could possibly make any connection between the perception of this animation, and the function of one's brain.

Isn't it more about how you rotate the dancer in your minds eye to percieve her direction?

She's spinning along a the Z axis. If you flip her so her head it closest to you she will be spinning clockwise. If you flip her so her feet are facing you she will be spinning counter-clockwise.

At least that's how I can get her to go both ways. No to try it on the GF...

Using the shadow on the floor gives me ability to change the direction at will, but I see her clockwise until forcing it by using the shadow.

Is this a sign that I need to change my major from Math to something else? I did see her spinning clockwise. Oh yea, and I have no feeling and emotions. But I am left-handed.

Just out of curiosity, how did you see her spin and what is your dominent hand?

You can clearly see the small white line between her legs making her appear to be standing on her right foot.

for the longest time I could only see counterclockwise, but by playing around with where I was looking and then closing my eyes I finally managed to get her spinning the other way.

I swear I can see different parts of her body spinning opposite directions, at the same time. Talented lady.

i saw clockwise first. description off?
funny how you split philosophy on right and math/logic on left

edit: i just noticed that, for me, if the foot starts on the left side, then i see it moving counter clockwise. if it starts on the right (which it does in my browser), then i see clockwise. and then sometimes it switches, this **** is confusing.
