sexy

Live2Die 02-15-08 02:37 AM

something about that just doesn't sit right with me. Actually I hate to say it but the whole thing I don't like. It's not that it is a bad build I just don't like it.

Briareos 02-15-08 02:48 AM

Besides the unicrown fork, your bike is great Gyeswho!

I've always wondered what the cap-less Dura-Ace cranks would look like on a fixed/SS with one chainring. I think you should try using the original chain-ring that came with the crankset, they look great together! Considering the size of the rings, you'll probably have to get a huge cog/freewheel to keep the same gear ratio though! Those disc-brakes are the bee's knee's too!

The white on the carbon totally destroys the look. However the moots frame... looks wicked.

TimArchy 02-15-08 07:08 AM

Is it a SS cross frame or just some super tricked out road fix? Either way, I call waste of several thousand dollars.

But it is damn sexy.

Agreed. Based on the custom carbon wheel selection and clearances, there's no way this could be fitted with large (enough) tires.

Über-$$$-snore. I maintain my position that the most boring bike in the world to ride is a single-speed road bike.

I know I ride my white tires in the dirt.

Ti is cool, but kind of gross for a frame. Drop the cash on a Reynolds 953 stainless frame, with stainless lugs. Paint everything but the seat stays, chain stays, and fork, and polish all that up. Now you've got yourself the lightest, classiest bizzitch imaginable. "BILENKY: MAKE MY MONSTER GROOOOWWWWW!"

Where's that kid with the loco yamaguchi and custom mercian? He's got money to burn - I bet we can peer pressure him into building one.

You obviously didn't hear the story behind his acquisition of those frames. It involved very little money. A ridiculous and enviable opportunity.

NNNN 02-15-08 12:39 PM

even if he didn't pay full price, he still spends ridiculous amounts of money on bikes. what about his bilenky? "they say he trashpicked it....from god's dumpster."

It came from the same place as the Yamaguchi and the Mercian.
He paid very little for any of them

Yikes! Welp, this is certainly awkward...
If anyone needs me I'll be over here in the corner, cross-eyed and drooling, waiting for my mom to pick me up.

deathhare 02-15-08 01:23 PM

Seriously...read his blog. Its an amazing story that will make you happy.
Who has the link to the page of it with the story?

jacobpriest 02-15-08 01:40 PM

Its always worth it when theyre 4x5 negatives.

if you ever have the money, you should try an 8x10. you can have the simplicity of contact printing with presentable image sizes. true, i haven't had the funds (or the inspiration) to do anything for over a year with mine, but now that i have both again, i am super excited that i have that camera.

johnprolly 02-15-08 02:50 PM

some people got it for cheap some people got it for steep

Is money spent on bikes bad?
