you're going to bend the rails, rip it off the seatpost then impale your ***hole on the exposed clamp.

Don't listen to this guy. Also, from now on, don't ride anywhere unless you have a buddy filming you. If anything hillarious happens, don't forget to post it here.

johnnytheboy 09-08-08 09:53 AM

why do they make seat rails the length of the saddle if it's unsafe to mount it when it's slid to one end or the other?
those guys are full of ****.
ride what feels comfortable.
don't let the fashion police make you change something you don't want to.

ballin' concept, though not perfect. you'd have to match all the silver to silver or black to black for me to say that...

...sarcasm doesn't translate well on the web.

I've seen people be criticized for their bikes and now I'm in that club.
I had a friend at a bike shop measure me before ordering the parts and frame, I have a long torso I guess. I wouldn't ride it everyday if I didn't feel comfortable.

It's actually not about fashion, it's about setting up your bike correctly.

The conventional wisdom is that, when the pedal cranks are horizontal, you knee cap should be directly above the pedal spindle. See Keith Bontrager's article on this topic.

It is generally considered a Bad Idea to tinker with saddle position to adjust the reach to the handlebars; it is better to adjust this by replacing the handlebar stem with one with a different reach, or by buying a bicycle with a different length top tube.

straws papers 09-08-08 05:04 PM

nice job realigning your front wheel for that troll shot of the spokecard. Obviously you didnt do it on purpose or anything~

bakaster 09-08-08 05:06 PM

I'm not sure that i would go so far as to call Obama a communist (or particularly that he is a russian communist as the card shows) but in a graphics sense it is pretty neat.

edit: Is your chain a loose in the third picture? or is that just camera and my eyes playing tricks on me (it looks fine it all the other ones, just the 3rd one looks a bit loose)

itschrisb 09-08-08 05:45 PM

That bike looks really good, ive never really liked the look of the alter stem, but it looks awesome.

edit: what fork is that?

Suttree 09-08-08 06:35 PM

probably Soma fork.

thereedreeder 09-08-08 07:15 PM

well that is the fork that comes with the rush, but it's just a tange infinity fork.

put end caps in them bars so you don't punch a hole in the person you run into
trying to skid on a fork with a lot or rake.
