Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? is there a functional reason for grooves in seatposts? or is it mainly aesthetic?

everytime somebody says a bike or a bike part is "sexy" i hate it. it makes me think of some pimple-faced nerd whacking it spewing on his bike while getting busted by his dad (ala american pie). i wish that phrase trend would just die off. carry on.

I find the Cinelli on the last page sexually attractive and have a strong desire to have sexual intercourse with it's bottom bracket shell.

It's a RIH, Campagnolo stamped dropouts, I don't know much else about the frame. From the looks of it it had been re-painted quite a while ago, so there are no tubing stickers or decals. I've been told it's most likely Reynolds 531, but I really have no idea. I picked it up for a really good price though so I'm happy.

Stripping the frame... how could I remove the shifter bosses? or is there an after market product I could bolt on there like a bottle opener of something. I'm paranoid because there sharp and I had a gyro tab slice my knee in the bmx days.

that looks like a nice frame, don't ruin it by taking off all the braze-ons.

They aren't all ss/fg. But they are all rad.
From the left, the first is my friend's Univega conversion. Then there's his roomie's Trek roadbike, a sandwich delivery bike, a MTB beater, my fg touring rig, a friend's randonneuring bike, and my buddy's trailworthy conversion.

Out of curiosity, what did you do for your BB as I have a 1975 Raleigh Grand Prix that I just converted.

P.S. I got the bike with all original factory parts for 20 bucks.
