Those scramblers are growing on me, especially at that price they sure make a very nice beater.

johnnytheboy 12-09-08 10:04 PM

scrambler ftw

i got mine on a group buy.
frame, fork, cane creek sealed headset and salsa seat clamp for $159 shipped to my door.

or atleast route the cable under the wrap for a bit cleaner look. i can understand the need for hooded riding... so comfy

croscoe 12-09-08 10:45 PM

^Not with old school, non-aero levers, homie.

Dannihilator 12-09-08 10:58 PM

Nice, I'd move the cable and housing to the left and shorten the cable and housing.

K_phomma 12-10-08 01:13 AM

I like him.

bnhoang86 12-10-08 03:21 AM

me too

DasProfezzional 12-10-08 05:11 AM

There is always the option of hooking up the back brake.

Just sayin'.

[Mr.B] 12-10-08 09:27 AM

Yeah I would hook back one up just too look better

droobieinop 12-10-08 09:47 AM

like the classic outside routed levers, but i went with cross levers for cleaner look, but don't let anyone change your mind

i did see a converted gyro cable used to connect both levers to one brake, cool safety touch

bakunin 12-10-08 10:00 AM

This person will probably get rid of the useless lever and wrap his wire at some point. They just don't want to seem like they're doing what you're telling them to.

zacked 12-10-08 10:04 AM

Except, as stated multiple times, not, because the lever is not useless and the housing on those levers is not meant to be under the handlebar wrap.

rudetay 12-10-08 10:12 AM

I can never understand how people recommend or run having only one hood. Wouldn't having one hand with a great hand position just remind you of how the other could be comfortable too, but isn't?

bakunin 12-10-08 10:14 AM

I ride exclusively in the drops, so i have one hood way down low, that i dont use for any reason minus for the brake

wearyourtruth 12-10-08 10:17 AM

lol @ everyone suggesting he route his cable in an impossible manner (without getting new levers)

Mine even shorter, only 49 cm still a hair taller then my size should be 48 or 47.

elTwitcho 12-10-08 04:43 PM

He should just cut the cable and reroute it through the downtube shifter. Would look way cleaner.

BaronDapcher 12-10-08 05:35 PM

Or just get a pair of aero levers, carefully drill a few holes and call it a day.
You'll have to drill/file the holes at an angle and get some flexible housing. Rubber gromets wouldn't hurt either.
