What's the point of a top tube protector when the bars are taped?

Where'd you find a durace 17t cog? I thought they were only made up to 16t?

thats a good question…as i was looking through the crank sets all the pista boxes
had inch pitch pictures regardless of the fact that the chainrings were 1/2 inch pitch.
i don't know why.

Track racers were die-hard inch-pitch freaks. It's possible that Campy even had an inch pitch offering at the time. Their cotterless cranks date all the way back to the late 50s, so maybe the boxes were just using old artwork too.

Yes Campy had a inch pitch cranks and cogs. people where still riding with them up into the 80s. I got rid of mine in 1995-97. i had 4 rings and 3 cogs that are now spread over NYC, only one person still have the 25 chainring I sold him.

I was told the reason for track racers being so inot the inch pitch was because they believed that less teeth equaled less friction and therefor more speed. Not sure if it is true.

Have you ever tried to change a inch pitch chain? it's like changing a motorcycle chain.

new fenders for "Caty"... i'm starting to like the classic look, and yesterday's ride in the rain was skidtastic.
