Just got my first single speed yesterday and after the first 15 miles, I'm in love!!
Basically stock 2006 Jamis Sputnik (barely used, but over 1/2 off w/ no frame damage to be found!) w/ Tektro levers ($10 from a cool dude at the shop off one of his old bikes) and some Tiagra calipers, and a freewheel as I’m not quite ready for fixed yet. |

Here's my first road singlespeed.

This is my 58 cm Schwinn Le Tour conversion. The wheels are the unbreakable economy variety, Nashbar 27” rims laced to repacked Suzue Basics. Crankset is a custom basement job, drive-side 165mm Signature crank, NDS Sugino crank, with an unknown 44t chainring. This goes to a 16t Dura-Ace cog and lockring. Stem and bars are Panasonic, pedals are Colnago.
