Nice bicycle, simple, not very expensive. I plan to do something similar with a Nishiki frame.

Is it just me or is that bottom bracket EXTREMELY low to the ground?

Just got my first single speed yesterday and after the first 15 miles, I'm in love!!

Basically stock 2006 Jamis Sputnik (barely used, but over 1/2 off w/ no frame damage to be found!) w/ Tektro levers ($10 from a cool dude at the shop off one of his old bikes) and some Tiagra calipers, and a freewheel as I’m not quite ready for fixed yet.

That's the computer. Seemed as good a place as any if I want to switch out handlebars n'stuff.

Here's my first road singlespeed.

Supercheap.
New seat and pedals.
New upgraded rims and hubs are on the way as well as different handlebars.

You're bike is gonna get stolen in about 10 minutes unless you get a better lock. You might as well just lean it up against the wall if you're gonna use that thing.

Here is my Sannino. I picked the frame up a few months back. I just finished building the wheels and got it all together.

- Dura Ace cranks, bottom bracket, hubs
- Open Pro rims (650c front, 700c rear)
- Chris King headset
- Nitto Pearl stem and 021 bars

I see... I think I'm going to have to get the original fork for my bike now.

I don't know about yours but I just took mine for a quick ride around the block and being that low makes it tough to see your surroundings. I built mine to ride on the track so I don't need to see what's going on behind me.

sr20det 05-07-06 05:39 PM

holy shiat christiank, you own ALL my dream bikes!
pulse & now sannino.
wow, respect!

This is my 58 cm Schwinn Le Tour conversion. The wheels are the unbreakable economy variety, Nashbar 27” rims laced to repacked Suzue Basics. Crankset is a custom basement job, drive-side 165mm Signature crank, NDS Sugino crank, with an unknown 44t chainring. This goes to a 16t Dura-Ace cog and lockring. Stem and bars are Panasonic, pedals are Colnago.
