Wow, Yojimbos has some seriously enviable space. Our bike builds take place in the shop area, which can be pretty distracting on a busy day..

what i know about mountain bikes will fit on the head of a pin, with room for a ****ton of angels.

educate me (and the bike came from vermont, if that helps w/ the tire situation at all).

what SHOULD i be running?

(and if you tell me 23mm gatorskins...)

I know, he forgot Cross Colours...

That bike looks pretty clean in general, and although I'm generally less knowledgable about mountain bikes in comparison with any other iteration of bikes aside from 'bents, I'd say you have a nice machine there. It's not all that advanced as far as suspension goes, but it's an OCLV frame (which I believe has a lifetime warranty) so you should be proud of what you have there.

**** that. I don't give a **** where anyone but me thinks "it's at". :) (obligatory emoticon inserted so you know i'm not trying to be a d!ck)

For me, where it's at is me riding a bike fast and enjoying the hell out of it. I love how the colors clash! You love it or you hate it - I love it. Besides, nothing is more entertaining than watching what happens when someone turns up their nose at your bike's color scheme only to have you kick their ass in a race.

Nah, you're fine, bike looks ready to run. Now that we've had dry weather, it's time to hit the trails. I ride in Tilden and Marin, so just PM if you want a tour guide.

What track, Encino?

At Hellyer, we have a nice array of bikes, and most people remark on them. A coule of the Guys from ADT that I have met on forums, are always talking bikes..

Agreed on the XTR siqqness, but there's no way in hell Shimano is going to get back the market share they've lost to SRAM in the past few years with an even fla$hier group...

Is that a Vittoria Tecno Pro I spy on the back? Those things suck my nuts, my rear lasted two weeks before I put a big ol' cut in the back, my front seems to be lasting a litle longer.

you're gonna love the beater im helping a friend build. battleship grey, mismatched wheels (front has a qr and spraypainted turquoise rims that were spraypainted POST wheelbuild so the spokes have a fade). We're trying to find a good way to get some bmx bars on there and my roommate and I are pushing for him to use a furry pink tigerprint saddle. its gonna be CORE.
