I was eating indian food the other night and this guy rolled by with a paramount with a curved seat tube. I nearly **** myself.

haha yea that dock was sweet. that whole stretch of lake for about a mile was just one private dock after another. and dont worry i have some snaps w/o the bike.

Careful joking about that. The levees were indeed blown up in 1927, flooding lower income neighborhoods, to lower the pressure before it got to the upper class areas. This is fact. These rumors persist, however, in these areas because of the huge class divide that exists in New Orleans that has finally bubbled to the surface. While this may not have been the case this time (although there is speculation that it happened during Betsy) the rumors and allegations of blown up levees have a history that they are based on and strikes a sore spot in almost every New Orleanian.

This time around the levees failed due to gross negligence of the Army Corp of Engineers and all federal, state and local agencies involved.
