wow, nice bob jackson.
what are the angles?
is that the regular length chainstay length (40.5cm) or shorter?

so the seat tube is 60cm?

they just recently started on a custom pista for me...i'm excited.

I'm 6' 2".

The seat tube is 60.1cm from center of BB to center of top tube.
The chain stays are 40.5cm.

Not sure on the head tube angle, my spreadsheet says 72.5, but I haven't checked and don't think that's right.

My angles won't match yours, I was a royal pain in the arse for them. I didn't get fitted by them, I got fitted by Cycle Fit in London, and then I acted as middle man feeding the numbers through to Donald... chatted on the phone a few times about options, trims, the feel I wanted, the riding I would do, etc... and then Donald said to leave it with him, I'd overloaded him with numbers but he would translate it to a track bike... which he did.

I'm pretty fecking chuffed. It's a gorgeous bike.

i bet that geometry is close to the off the peg Vigorelli geometry...and he added a head tube extension.

after getting Donald to tell me the geometry of the Vigorelli in my size and deciding i didn't want that, i just filled out the custom order sheet with all i could specify, then i scanned it into email at work and emailed it to him...he took care of it from there.

thanks for the compliments guys.
1980's Melton track frame, found on ebay. sanded and repainted with marine grade paint. lugged reynolds 531 steel with campagnolo forkends. Stronglight headset. sugino 75 crankset with black chainring. phil high flange hubs laced to machined velocity deep V's. nitto post, bar, and stem. rolls saddle. mks pedals with a galli anodized gold toeclips... and that about sums her up... i'm very satisfied with the result. gearing is 46/18

Rigard 10-19-06 02:53 AM

Nice ride Arcade, white for some reason does look great on bikes. Like the combo with the gold and silver, just enough colour. Are you gonna polish up those cranks?

Come to think of it your rides is kind of like the opposite of mine colourwise.

Best-looking wheels with colored machined rims EVAR. Freaking gorgeous.

DerekRI 10-19-06 09:57 AM

I agree.. I actually love the fact that these wheels are machined.

On a side note, what's up with people posting pics, and no descriptions?? Don't wait for us to ask, just give us the 411!

Nice, but please tell me you're getting some bar end plugs.

dreells 10-19-06 10:58 AM

arcade. What tires are those? I like how the color runs all of the down to the machining.
