yairi, what size wheels and tires are those?

yairi 11-06-06 07:16 PM

700x38. Schwalbe studded. Fairly tight fit in the rear triangle, maybe 5 or 7 mm clearance. Fork is a cyclocross jobbie so it fits easily there.

niccee. the only thing i would do if i were you is flip the lever around (it looks like an interrupter) and mount it on the end of that horn like a tt lever. i did that on my bike a while ago and i loved it.

looks great either way

My fuji track, new powdercoat!
Sorry, the pictures kinda suck.

^ I like the flat black and red, kind of a rat rod look :) very cool.

Yeah I was thinking I might try it that way yet. This way is fine but the clamp give me a bit of a bump in the bar exactly where I like my hands most of the time. Thanks for the kind words.

You have to do that with new brooks during the first month or so. IF you dont, you slide right off the front constantly.

Dersu Burrows 11-07-06 09:21 AM

Thanks! I have had that Brooks for quite awhile, it is already broken in, but I have just started tilting it back like that. It is so much more comfortable now, unbelievably.

My Panasonic DX4000 rigged for commuting. Going to repaint it in the spring. Picked it up for $60.00 as complete bike but I like it fixed.

Nice bike. Tell us about your headlight?

ryand 11-07-06 11:59 AM

and also what size is that bike? it looks itty bitty! nice work!

hairlessbill 11-07-06 12:28 PM

The frame is a 52cm. The light is a Dinotte Ultra 5. It's fine for commuting but not as good as my old Niterider dual-beam setup. I like it cuz I can switch it between bikes easily and it will take normal AA's in a pinch.

Details, details, details:

very nice set up. love it.

and its not as itty bitty as i thought.

endform 11-07-06 02:00 PM

Sixty dollars? Damn I woulda paid that just for the bare frame.

I like that they are perfectly framed by the main triangle. They look like they're plotting.

wanted to take some good photos of my toasted wheel (well, more toasted of the two) from when i got hit by a car before i took the wheel apart to get the cog and lockring off. im saving the hub shell as a paper weight/morbid reminder to myself not to be an idiot.

No seriously, what's up with that?

Was that on purpose?

Those picture are actually really neat. I guess I like things that are completely f-cked. Hope you're okay though...
