I think I'm gonna strip the paint and paint it SILVER though.
Thanks for the idea Shiz, that sounds awesome!

Chrome is even better. I mean like, shiny naked metal thats cold to the touch and sparkles ridiculously unless you happen to be developing negatives while trackstanding on it.

i really dont like chrome, especialy not in large quantities... however raw metal is boo-t-full...

some polished aluminum... or clear coated raw steel... oooo hehe... if i ever build my own frame, or order a custom frame... its getting washed and cleared and thats it...

+ fifty gazillion... the first 2 weeks i had my fuji i washed and polished it atleast 3 or 4 times... then i realised how much it was getting scratched from daily use and getting locked outside the bar... haha... i need to wash it again eventualy

I've said it before, but I LOVE this bike. The colors and logo are so cartoon-like. Seriously, if I build a new bike this is the watermark.

boh, doublepost.

Rides great too. I was a bit worried it would be too stretched out, but no probs.

I'm a newb to fixed, ridden ss mtbs, but this bike is so fast. It hums with kinetic energy.

This is my first singlespeed build. It's a 17 year old Malvern Star frame I had in the garage (I used to race on it many moons ago). The parts are all things I had lying around the garage.

Might want to fix that rear brake housing length.

$0 garage build, nice. I'd look into getting a half-link if I were you, thats a bit too much slack in the chain for my liking, and it looks like your dropouts aren't very long.

or he can put a larger chainring on the front, maybe one tooth difference...on my bike two teeth on the front almost took the slack of a whole link. my dropouts are short and i had to find the magic gearing that worked with my chainlength...

Stronglight headset. sugino 75 crankset with black chainring. phil high flange hubs laced to machined velocity deep V's. nitto post, bar, and stem. rolls saddle. mks pedals with a galli anodized gold toeclips... and that about sums her up... i'm very satisfied with the result. gearing is 46/18
