MKRG 07-02-04 06:44 PM

Suck my wheel...*****es!

Fugazi Dave 07-02-04 06:53 PM

That hurt, man. That really hurt. It's gonna take a while for me to learn to trust you again.

MKRG 07-02-04 07:21 PM

Sorry, I forgot this was the fixie/sensitive guy forum. :)

Fugazi Dave 07-02-04 07:26 PM

Well, don't let it happen again. *sniff*

Both of you clearly need a good smack. Since 165's not around, here's one from me *smack* *smack.

soooo much lighter than my old 4130 beater, and it flies up hills! couldn't be happier :D

Looks like a nice ride - what's with the missmatched wrap lengths on your bullhorns?

Planning on installing a front brake with a time-trial lever on the left-hand side, so I left the hole for internal cable routing clear of wrap. ;)

I thought it was time I posted pictures of fixie. Only a couple of things worth mentioning. TA track crankset, eggbeater pedals and Velocity rims mated to suzue hubs (rear is promax and front is basic).
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to fix my seatpost situation. What do you think?

Thanks for looking

John

pitboss 07-07-04 10:11 PM

first things first - change the "12 Vitesses/Speeds" sticker on the chainstay to "1 vitesse/speed" :)

It doesn't look like there is enough lip on the seattube for a clamp. Did there used to be an integrated seatpost collar "pinch clamp" (sorry, I do not know the true nomenclature)? Or is the screw the only way the post was kept in place?
Odd...that is a first for me...curious minds want to know!

prodigal son 07-08-04 10:35 AM

I traded my friend for the frame, fork and seatpost for a Thompson seatpost I didn't need at the time, so I don't about the seatpost post clamp. Currently the screw is the only thing holding it in place. It is cheesy, but it works for now. I want to repaint later this year and the writing on the seat stay will go. And if I have professionaly painted, hopefully a skilled framebuilder can fix the ugly part of my ride.

Here is where I got the frame from..

Another super ebay find, the tires alone are worth 50 a piece, not to mention the wheels...

Crap! I thought mine was low at #20. Interesting tidbit...I was at a shop today and they had a Trek Madone hanging from a scale and it looked to be #16 - #16.5 but it's made out of paper.

Falcon 531 58cm

Not mine, but I spotted this one outside the Twisted Spoke on Grand and Ogden about 2-3 months back. Independent Fabrications frame, I believe. I dig the shrunken heads. This belong to anyone on the forum?
