I've seen that frame before I think. There was something similar in SF awhile ago with the same type of paint job. It was from New Zealand builder I think? Maybe that's not the same bike. I know the Japanese builders love the fade paint job. Do tell. Looks cool.

Allow new people time to assimilate before you inundate them with what is deemed "cool." Durability is more important than Dura-Ace at this stage. |

I didn't know Superbe was fashionable, but I did know that they made really nice track products. He asked how he should build it up and I gave him a suggestion. I wasn't trying to make him "cool". |

The photo of my (almost) new 3Rensho frame was taken in the old 3Rensho shop which is now the Makino shop. Makino-san had this 58 cm frame just sitting there until a bikeshop owner in Kyoto (who used to be the 3Rensho shop manager) called for me. I couldn't believe it and now it's sitting in my room! I almost bought a road version in this color 20 years ago.

No joke. how awesome. did you buy it and scrape off the decals? ;) (I almost picked up a Rob Roy, but wasn't willing to make the move to 130/135 spaced hubs since my stuffis 120...I went with the Il Pompino) |

In the house right now, I've got rear wheels spaced at 110, 120, 126, 130, and 135, laced to 24", 26" (559), 26" (571), 700c and nominal 29" rims. Don't even talk to me about the spare tube or tire piles. |
