Random Bike: De Rosa San Remo (1997)
I surfed on velospace site, visit the random's bicycle: De Rosa San Remo Fixed Gear Conversion. His bike is super-beautiful, and well-built!

Prime, is each of your bike frames a different size?
Cannondale is a 57 Motobecane is a 58 Garneau is a... 56 or 57? I totally forgot. I know the seat tube is a 57. They all fit, except the Motobecane feels a lot shorter (toptube,) compared to the Cannondale. Which is kinda odd, I think. |

im about to have the same wheelset as you and a front brake as well so i was just wondering. BTW the maddy looks clean |
Believe it or not, both those rims are machined. So, no it doesn't ruin the surface. Its really hard to tell the difference between high polished aluminum and a machined sidewall.

Updated pic of the Alien.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...eap/alien1.jpg The cross bike in road mode. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...p/windsor3.jpg For the nay-sayers who want to know where the dirt is... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...p/windsor2.jpg The Alien mainly sees city riding/commuting/alleycats/traffic now that I have some gears and brakes to do long stuff on. The CX bike sees mud, long miles, extended climbs, 45mph descents and lots of suffering. AYHSMB |
i always liked those giant omniums..

That alien is so clean, my god.

it's nowhere near that bad. follow the horizontal, not the frame. it's about 4 inches. i have long arms.
also, nothing in this house is at right angles to anything else edit for photo- http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/DSCN3494.jpg |

+1 !! :)[/QUOTE] thanks! Yup it's a Mark V. Tires are 32mm Ritchey Speedmax Cross. It's a close fit, but I have the axle at the ends of the dropout to make it work. Regular track axles won't work without filing off the fork tabs or putting washers in the axle to be flush with the fork tab. 28's would probably work fine though without the need to move the axle down if you don't feel like doing the able Front http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3146/...6aa88e78_b.jpg Rear http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3158/...7d3967a4_b.jpg |
