Put this together from an old Schwinn i had laying around. Just a cheap SS beer getter. Have a rack for the back and some bungees that work great for two 6packs or a 12pack

stripped all the shifter crap and old rusted chain off and threw on a set of wheels i got for cheap from some buddies

I bought spray can clearcoat but it clouded the shine so I didn't use it.

maybe a dumb question but how much of a chance is there that your clips could freeze up and lock ya in there?

L2D when I was riding in the 20 degree / snowing weather last winter break in Portland, that wasn't an issue at all w/ Time ATACs. My derailleurs however, did freeze up ~20 degrees.

what sort of tape did you use? any problems with peeling etc?

The tape was on the bike when I picked it up , I have no idea how long it's been on but it is starting to peel ... I would imagine Lowes or **** Depot would have reflective tape ...

Inaugural ride on the white Randos 28c actually. They get dirty but the snow kept it really clean and the sipes were good for traction in the snow. I am not positive but the white compound seems softer than black. I'm almost certain that the black carbon in tradition rubber adds hardness to the compound.

Believe it or not these were all un-retouched iPhone captures. I didn't want to risk taking my SLR out in 20 deg snow (condensation and risk of falling.)

Nah haven't been downtown in ages. Must have been somebody else.

Pro-tip : put your camera in a ziplock bag before bringing it inside and you eliminate condensation.

Fair enough. I've always had a softspot for that purple/grey colour on the Fuji Tracks. Even bare stock they look pretty slick

Replaced the handlebars (see bent ones in background), changed the tape from gold to black, some cheap generic pedals, and new saddle.
