i think my gios is the same frame as pictured. i got a newer style sicker kit for it and the person who owned it before me put road forks on it so they could run a front brake.

This is a really sexy Motobecane from the 70s -- back when they were still made in France. My girlfriend found this frame at the goodwill for $20 and had the bike built up at a local shop for under $200. It's a comfortable ride with straight handlebars, ss freewheel and 52x16 ratio.

that bike is really screaming for some track bars. those road bars are fugly. then again, you have a cheesy carbon fork, so it's probably ok.

My Bianchi BuSS: one side fixed, one freewheel. Having a cog lets me work on my spin on the cheezy trails by work when Denver's weather is out of sorts.

Handles like a champ. I've podiumed on that baby, so the bike sure wasn't holding me back. It's a little fast-handling for road use (I did ride it during the winter in Ohio for a couple seasons), but on the track she's what you could call "frisky". On the plus side, she did stay up when I got swung down on and knocked down the banking in the middle of a turn in the last race I did. THAT was a scary moment.

If I have to replace my road bike, I may do it with a Jackson. They have some killer lugsets still.

built/converted this awhile back, was a lucky find at a yard sale, has a nice 531 DB frame w/o any brazeons other than the RD, also old Phil Wood hubs, Suntour Superbe brake(s), and an Avocet crankset

those chrome tips on the fork and frame are really classy...i like it!

This is the same bike I had in the first post of this thread, but with a few (?) modifications. Actually the only things that are original on the bike are the dented-ass frame, cheap headset, and five-pound seatpost. Anyway, I thought I'd show y'all how TF&TF AKA Tank AKA Bumble-Bike has changed over the past six months.

The overall setup is: cheap-ass frame, Mavic MA3 rims w/ Suzue basic flip-flop hubs (w/ new axles and bolts - the original ones got bent/destroyed one fateful day heading West on North Ave.) and Specialized Armadillo tires (these things are a ***ing God-sent - I've not gotten a flat since I bought these things 3-4 months ago), 16T Surly fixie cog and accompanying Lockring, PC-1 SRAM chain, cheap BB, mismatched 170mm cranks (one Schwinn, one Sugino Fuse) and 54T front chainring, Giant pedals with steel toeclips (c/o Urban Bikes), Profile quill w/ Botranger (?) stem, scavanged bars (thanks al5) w/ Cinelli Cork tape, heavy ***ing seatpost, Serfas Dual-Density Pro saddle, Headlands fender, blinky light, and ghetto headset that comes loose every other day.

She's the ghetto fixed-gear champion, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I hope you guys don't get too upset with me (it's not fixed...) but here's my coaster brake Schwinn Super LeTour. I'm running a 52x20 on 26" rims so I can handle the uphills on campus and curb-jumping/slight off-roading... It's fast become my favorite bike. :D :D :D

i like your bike! seems like it would be a lot of fun to ride, on and off road...
