Here's my Croll SS. I call it "The Mingler." It's got track dropouts on it now, but you're going to have to use your imagination on that because these pictures are from the previous owner. Enjoy.

its a 56cm. my steamroller and the spicer are 56, although i can tell a difference in the spicers geometry. but they are both comfortable.

Hella - that's a nice Croll - how'd you end up getting that?

auk 12-07-04 12:44 PM

The Croll is sweet. Love the pearl white paint and the stealthy Wound Up fork.

Served it up Craig's List style.

It's got a wicked dent in the top tube under that black tape so this really nice guy sold it to me for $400. I inherited everything you see there minus the Eggbeaters (Wound-Up, Record headset, etc.). The only issue I had with it was that I killed the Surly chain tensioner within a week. The Spinergy is a quick release with a cassete and doesn't have a bolt-on and/or threaded option. Supposedly Spinergy customer service is terrible and the guys at the LBS in San Francisco laughed at me when I asked about it. Anyhow, I took it to a custo frame builder in Alameda who welded on some Surly track dropouts and the rest is history. Oh, and the frame builder said the dent wasn't a big deal, purely aesthetic. I'll probably have him replace the top tube next summer.

Moral of the story: Kryptonite wanted an official appraisal signed by someone at a bike shop for the coverage policy that comes with the New York lock so I took the Mingler in to get it sized up. Damage report: $3200.

OK. here's my winter ride this morning, all built up and ready to go, not entirely tweaked, that'll come after a day of work finds all the untweakedness. She's a steady moving black cadillac of a woman, smooth and sumptuous on the ass and the eyes.

[watched "Friends" a few times]Could I... GET IT..any bigger?[/end loser]

What's the brake on the front?s

SamHouston 12-10-04 02:22 PM

It's no name but good looking enough, it came from the pile of bikes that follows me wherever I go. No brand, serial, enblem anywhere. I think I took it off a Lemond I had a few years back. Whole bike is economy, Dotek cranks, Sovos front hub, Miche rear (rear wheel is brand new w/drivetrain for winter)

Here it is, sized for those of us without 42" plasma monitors ;)

SamHouston 12-10-04 02:55 PM

Yeah! I am soo lazy, I took the pic, uploaded it, asked my lady to upload it onto the server and then grabbed teh link when she did, no thought to size.

i'm digging the fuzz....

SamHouston 12-10-04 03:10 PM

heeh thanx, real sheepskin, sewn on not wrapped, soaked & sewn so it dries and tightens like it's part of the frame now, cant get a needle under it even. I think it'll look even better after some rain & snow, going from pimp to mad max
