Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Bikes: Bianchi Pista and too many to list

Exactly DoshKel, - Thanks!

I was going for the antique road racer look of the turn of the century. I was inspired by the bikes at Alternative Needs Transportation and old photos. I think it goes with the olive color of this particular pista. Besides all that it makes for a very comfortable commuter. I ride from one side of San Francisco to the other. There are many climbs and fast descents on my route. These bars make it easy.

If only I could get the decals off?

Ugh!

That is really, really beautiful. The seat cluster is unreal.

What is the size of it though? Looks really tiny.

Oh... it looks smaller to me. Bad eye I guess.

different front? I have a new fork on the way from the same builder as the frame, but I kinda like the chrome one on it.

it depends, bike shorts grip 'em really well, to the point that sliding around to get comfortable just doesn't happen. i've done 8+ hr rides in jean shorts with no damage; i think overall the shredding of pants/shorts comes from people accustomed to adjusting their position without lifting their butt. I'm gonna look into reapolstering it sometime in the near future without the perforations

Trust fund or just lots of maxed out credit cards? If the Pista Concept is any indication, you'll be dropping $6,000 on all of those bikes before you know it...

Dustin...Justin and Trevor started Old Field Cycles, so all their frames are mad expensive but worth every penny. I commissioned this frame back in May when I had money from selling some drums. You got rid of your pista right? I heard you might be in Colorado or Oregon?
