that is one hot bike. the pictures really let you appreciate how sweet that thing is. i'm incredibly jealous that you are able to deem your pista concept as your fukaround bike. please put the drop bars back on it. that's like dating a super model and buying her baggy sweatpants and a oversized t-shirt for valentine's day.

Sweet bike man. Spare no expence huh? But I wanted to kow if that is the same way all the double strappers run their straps, with the strap closest to the toe through the clip and not the strap that is normally closer to the ankle? Im refering to adamsallez's Bianchi with the orange rims.

not sure on the strap.
I guess look a little close a the double strap pictures.
I'm broke a strap skidding and it scared the s**t outta me!!! so someone said ride double straps. and with no hole for brakes it seemed like a good Idea. I guess Idid spare some expense, I didn't buy fancy Japanese double straps ......YET.

Bikes: 05 Kona Unit SS, 06 Cannondale R1000, 06 IRO Rob Roy Fixed, Planet X Zebdi MK4

Just received my first fixed last Friday and I am very pleased with it! It's an IRO Rob Roy setup as a fixed.

I've been riding SS for a while now and I've just moved, so am commuting a short distance to the office now and wanted to try out a fixed. I am loving it!

At the moment I'm using some pedals that I had lying around with plastic toe clips, but an planning on upgrading soon after I get the hang of riding this bike. I also am going to put a front cantilever brake on when I have a chance (BTW, the v-brake bosses are removable right? Just a royal PITA to get out?)

before

after

I am still on the fence about the bars, I love the drops, but the tops and bends are hard on the hands
I am also getting some new pedals, clips, and straps; so that sould help make it look better.

its too close to british racing green but doesn't cut it. repaint it the correct shade of green or burn the bike.

they're removable with a hacksaw. but they're not hurting anybody. by all means, equip your bike however you want. but if you ever want to give ss cyclocross a shot you might find those pegs useful.

i must agree with photons, the pegs aren't gonna hurt you. they could even come in handy one day.

Alright, you guys talked me into it, I'll keep the bosses, good points.
My Kona's bosses had flats so I could remove them quite easily and reinstall if needed. These are just round, so I would have to destroy them somewhat.
