interesting. i'd not been able to nail down an exact date on when he died, or when the name changed hands. i'd started researching this period and then got sidetracked by some other projects, but i'd like to put a timeline together at some point. if you've got any sources of info on this i'd be much appreciative.

and oh yeah, bike pics! (these are old, and are clearly not pogliaghis)

Just scored off of ebay for $550.00! Originally intended to be for my wife but it fits me perfectly... I changed out the saddle to a NOS Selle San Marco Perforated White Concor and I love it...

There's a chapter on Sante Pogliaghi and his shop in an old book called "the custom bicycle", which I'm pretty sure you can find online. Cicli su Carta also has a nice little piece on Pogliaghi history. I think classic rendevous has a piece(and a timeline) on him as well. You can find that stuff and more by googling his name.

I messed MTL on a SS 70's Pog with drilled campy .... I loved it. Soaks up the bumpy roads oh so nicely but still oike to jump into a sprint.

The Stella is reborn. My old French road frame, sandblasted and braze-ons ground off. Poorly. Painted by Manifest of Philadelphia. I built up the wheels on Nashbar track hubs, Sunrims M13 IIs with Wheelsmith spokes. Brooks B17 saddle on plain jane post. Noname (pronounced no-nah-mee haha) cranks and 48t chainring. KMC Z chain and a Durace 15t cog with the shady Nashbar lockring. I'll be changing that out soon. The stem and bars are whatever came with the bike originally, nothing noteworthy. I just put on a front brake with a cross lever and changed out the bar wrap for brown cloth tape and twine wrapping. It's great to have her back.

Thanks Serendipper. It was my first frame-up build. I could get hooked. I'll put pics up soon with the new bar wrap.

Hahaha... chopped 'em down to do the trendy risers-on-fixie thing... didn't like it... so I traded some dude here for Major Taylors... didn't like them... so I traded some dude here for wide B123's... jury's still out on those.

Salsa stem to OS risers to Major Taylors to B123's. I love trading

Gee, these bikes are incredible, mine pales in comparison.
I'm incredibly proud of this though, this is the first time I built wheels for a bike, I built it from the ground up as my everyday. It's a old 84 trek 560 with some salvaged parts off my old bikes.

I always wear gloves, especially in the winter time, so I don't have a problem. Besides it feels real nice and looks snazzy. Thanks for the compliment
