Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Here's a couple frames hanging in one of my LBS. First one's not fixed-specific, but it's still sweet!

Merckx

Gunnar Street Dog. Eyelets on the dropouts, 2 water bottle mounts, etc.. cool commuter!

that bike hands down is the most bogus bike ever.

Quick Release on a Disc wheel, how would you lock that securely? Needs some locking skewers, and that
saddle to bar drop of more than a foot? Ouch, the saddle looks to high even for me, and i am 6 foot 5, this guy better be yao ming.

that bike just blows my mind.

It is not a true disk wheel but the old UNI wheel cover ( poor man version ). easy to take off sucks in crosswinds.

Im glad it arrived safely Scott. I, personally, hope you leave it as it for awhile. Plus, it would be a shame to remove the keirin rider's name from the top tube.

Yeah, but it has no rear brake, so it has to be a fixie, and with a skewer.

+yourconversionsarelame. Any frame that somebody built themselves is automatically 1000x cooler than any crap-ass conversion, even if you did a great job with the spray paint.

As far as the QR rear wheel, plenty of folks have done it before. He might have a chaintensioner on the drive side, which would make it just as secure as any bolt-on.

Seriously, good for that guy. Being willing to take a risk and build your own bike deserves props, not hate.

even if it's stupid, it's still awesome. it's unique and weird and kinda mean looking and i've never seen anything like it. plus it's homebuilt. mad points.

i agree. while the saddle to bar drop is demented, and the clip on rear wheel cover sort of dumb,
the frame itself is quite cool.

OK, I buy it. Very nice. Not sure about the bars/stem though. What stem is that anyway?
