It says "Beam" on it. Fake-leather seat that was only about $20 new; already ripping.

where'd you get the TT protector?

Thanks. I bought the TT protector for too much money at Depot Cycle & Recycle near Tokyo. It's (honestly) over top a Kashimax.

Yeah, I was curious what kind of cross/touring bike had clearance barely for 28's. Great looking bike though.

Yeah, I have days where I go downstairs and look at the lineup of bikes and just think "****, I must've done something right in this life."

I do have a sick urge to build it up 90s hybrid-style just for a picture or two. You know, exage derailleurs, plasticy mtb brake levers, the whole deal.

Then I cry.

What, no Biopace?

Biopace? Hell no, Sakae Ovaltech. That's how -I- roll.

(slowly and kinda lopsided..)

sashae 02-18-07 11:26 PM

What about that white Shimano Sante ;)

You taunt me! The bike I wanted in high school had sante, but my racing bike had mere 105! With low-ass gears, too, thanks a bunch uscf junior regs.

(the chainrings that got pulled off were biopace, though the ones that replaced them were round. come to think of it, I think they may have been TA. that's how that shop-owner rolled.)

i'm the green mercier. what do you ride?

mirona 02-19-07 09:32 AM

I wanted to start track racing this year, so this is my foray into fixed gear riding. Nothing incredibly special, but it should be fun.
