I believe it is a 03 or an 04 frame.

jyossarian 03-09-07 08:53 AM

Wow, the Bates & Carlton are both beautiful.

SugarPILL 03-09-07 09:44 AM

Super classy you two!

EuroJosh 03-09-07 10:43 AM

Who else is looking forward to the bikes on the next page in this thread?

No_Minkah 03-09-07 10:57 AM

New track bike. Not classy at all, really very gauche.

2004 Fuji Track Pro
Campy Record BB and cranks, Salsa ring.
ITM Millenium stem, ITM Pista bars ('trianing', maybe why they have cable grooves?)
The wheels are the training wheelset that came with the bike, it's a Suzue rear to Araya rim and a Shimano 105 front to CXP21. Michelin Pro 2 Race tires. I also have a pair of Volos tubulars, but no tires yet.
Thomson Elite seatpost, Selle Italia Flite TT saddle

It's so light. It's bananas.

Cool bike. I thought a long time about buying one as a specific velodrome bike since it's inexpensive and race ready.

Those ITM bars are funny. I bought many sets, sold most of them, and kept 2 for myself: one for track one for road. I have no idea about the goofy cable grooves, but they are really nice bars. Light, mellow drop, and wider than all the stupid narrow bars out there.

Looks like we similar taste. Except you have cooler bars. Just built it up.

The story goes as "I was hit by a motorist on my track bike. Destroyed the bike and it was not really worth it to fix. Luckily the person who hit me was nice and got their insurance to pay for a new bike. The insurance company maybe smelled a lawsuit so they straight up told me to go, replace the bike and send us a bill. So I went a little overboard and got an over the top (for me) SS 29er. I plan to get another track bike to get to work and such but nothing good has come my way. Hopefully soon.

shapelike 03-09-07 12:38 PM

First I lost my **** over those classic track bikes, and then the two ss mountain bikes show up and just kill it. Nicely done.

Nice! I considered the Dambala 29er frame due to the sliders and der hanger, but BTI was out of the older, nicer 853 main triangle version in the size I wanted. Oh well, the Surly frames were on sale! Looks like both of our bikes need a little dirt...
