it is stiff? what is this, major placebo effect going on? I've yet to ride a wheel that flexes more than this aerospoke stuff. on standing starts, my wheel rubs my brake if i go hard enough.

you can seriously bend it with 1 finger pushing down on it...

i don't understand how forward force from pedaling causes the wheel to flex such that the rim goes sideways. i hope this doesn't come across as a snarkdown, cause i don't mean to be saying "you're a liar who doesn't know what you're talking about because that didn't happen" - i wasn't there - but i'm curious.

Fuji S-10 set up as single speed
42x17
(just felt like coasting)
Nothin' fancy... Michelin city tires or something

old Blackburn rack
Nitto Stem
a bell with a cartoon character on it
The cransks say 'Fuji' on them
most of the stuff on the bike was on there when I picked it up for next to nothing
('cept the Honey Brooks and the rack... and bars... and the wheels... and the tires)

Gold Suzue ProMax Hubs 28H
non-machined deep Vs
Radial laced Hoshi blade spokes up front
double butted stainless 2x in back

I have the Cadence sticker on all of my Deep V's...I thought I was so original...then a few other locals saw it and started doing it too! Crazy that you thought of the same thing!

standing start from a trackstand...rocking bike beneath me while mashing pedals and pulling up/pushing down on bars.

also, when i ran the wheel on my geared bike on the back...it'd rub brakes when i go out of the saddle also.

I have one that gets a lot of use and it has held up great.

What kind of problems has your roommate had with his?
