I hope she is locked up and safe at night, otherwise some of us might get some ideas. And I don't mean bolt cutters, I mean champagne and roses.

i feel like since everyone is going ga-ga over the mercian i need to criticize.

cinelli bars have too much hook, the ends could be trimmed to look a bit better
half wrap on the bars would be an improvement.
the red tires are just too much. some skinwalls would be classy.

other than that, sweet. the red tires are what bothers me most.

FixednotBroken 04-24-05 09:41 PM

veeeeeery very nice. i have to comment on your straps - sounds silly in light of all the other bling on your bike - but doncha just love the silva straps? i know i do.

chrisgerne 04-24-05 10:25 PM

i hate it! throw it away and tell me which dumpster its in!

i mean.

(damn.. thats a fechking nice ride y'e got there.)

ink1373 04-24-05 10:39 PM

definitely the shortest wheelbase of any bike i've had. if i don't pay attention, she 'slaps' me pretty good. :D

Please tell me what percentage of these bikes are track only, so I can get a bearing on whether or not I should drop mad cash on decent components if they're just going to get ****ed up/stolen on the street.

- If anything i would of opted for a red flyte saddle..but we all have our seating standards.
If that babe were mine... I would'nt know whether to lick it or ride it! :p

Well done Tresspaser, Absolutely Beautiful!
Did you already have the color scheme in mind before you started it, before you got the frame even, or did it just fall into place?

trespasser 04-25-05 02:50 AM

Thanks everyone. :)

Well, it took nearly 1 year from the planning, and collecting bits. It was kindda good that they took 5 month to build the frame, so I could gather enough dough without going bankrupt.
And I got most of the parts off ebay and off-season sales for pretty cheap, probably less than new miche primato group would cost.

yeah, I finally got them a couple of days ago, and they feel really good and strong.

ink1373, I know what you mean about the tires, but these tires just feel so good!

PriO 04-25-05 03:30 AM

they had that frame custom built for u?

trespasser 04-25-05 03:58 AM

yep, they pretty much only do custom build for fix/track frames, no stock. it's really worth it when they don't charge extra for going custom geo's and paint, and you can get a custom frame for about £500 (less than $1000).

RetroSteel :: Those are some of the hottest wheels I've ever seen IMHO.

Trespasser, Somebody just emailed me a link to this thread and your Mercian. It's really beautiful.....nice job!

Robbykills 04-25-05 11:34 PM

gorgeous

raygunner 04-26-05 01:55 PM

pitboss 04-26-05 02:43 PM

sweet! where'd ya score it?

schwinnbikelove 04-26-05 02:44 PM

You know, RG, not much gets me going too good, but there's something about the Japanese frames...Miyata (underappreciated, I think) being one of my favorite. I'm jealous!

raygunner 04-26-05 02:48 PM

I got it from Canada. Workin' that exchange rate!

I have some black wheels (surly hubs, black spokes + open pros) which will work nicely.

pitboss 04-26-05 02:50 PM

heck yeah - so that leaves you with a Bianchi and this for track frames?

Au Contraire Mon frair, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. You'll see...

PS - The Cinelli is still with me. Why would I want to part with that! I think it's getting a red Chris King headset this week. It shall like that, yes it shall....
