yeah, that black nagasawa is INSANE! i knew that campy c-record parts existed,
and this guy has everything campy njs, including an older super record crankset in njs ...and a nagasawa panographed campy chainring ...totally crazy. |

…but i'm starting to doubt that the chainring is campy.
i can't remember seeing a campy chainring with cutouts like that, and the shape looks more like a dura ace. but then again i haven't seen alot of things aparently... http://pedalmafia.com/bike_ups_img/083_3.jpg |
i kinda think that nagasawa sucks
|
Funky how the seat and stem/bar angles match...
Other than that I'm diggin' the Panasonic |
maybe he has huge junk, like sitting on a bean bag... so it wouldn't matter what the angle is...

Choices...
Thoughtful criticism is welcome, and wonderful!! I was expecting some dissenting views; I was just startled by how fast the hate seemed to get flowing. ("Is this all there is?" I wondered.):(
I actually agree that the Gold disc takes something away from the look of the wheelset. I was basically stuck with an impossible choice. Out of place Gold disc, Chunky-black with silver-bits, or just plain CHEAP Gold BMX. I wasn't going to sell such a showy bike with no brakes, although I would definitely ride one after having tried a fewd fixed/track bikes in downtown Fort Lauderdale. (Hey Jeremy D., 43/14 is GREAT without toe-clips!) Plus, it definitely needs a brake when it's on the freewheel. The BMX brake would fit because it's a cross fork, and the reach is correct with the pads adjusted all the way up. I may have switch to the BMX brake, because my little-baby-sized BMX lever doesn't want to pull enough cable for the Radius (Hayes MX-2) Mech. Disc Caliper. (I've ordered an Avid lever, which should solve the problem, but The little BMX lever squeezes all the way UNDER the bottom of the bar, and still isn't pulling enough!) Since it's not finished till it has a working brake, maybe I'll put up a pic with the BMX brake, just to see how it looks. The BMX brake would also ruin the non-machined rim though.:( I figure the eventual urban-buyer will be pretty likely to strip-off any brake, so this is a crappy place to get stuck. It's amazing how many parts just don't work with others, even when they are ISO, correct to spec. etc. (the caliper specs online call for 2.5-3 cm of pull, It's pulling about 4!) God bless the good people at Shimano, and their thoughtful standardization, or I'd have given up long ago.:D I realized early-on that all of the golds would never match, unless they were powder-coated, and I wasn't going to powder-coat the gold Dura-Ace!! I had a nice laugh about the fact that the Nitto Bars and Nitto stem didn't even match!!:fight: Anodizing would have come out different colors on different-alloy parts. So I figured I'd pick contrasting golds so that each-and-every gold piece would stand out visually. I think it makes a lot more sense in person, and Downsized-from-6.3MP.CRW JPEGs just don't have the color-precision to show what's really there. ELMO |
