The problem with those straps is that they slip. Ive had a few sets of those cause theyre cheap as hell.
You can get some very good straps that cost more but last 3 times as long.
Toshi single straps or even MKS nylon ones. The latter not being more expensive than the ones you have.

YES. That's the way a brakeless conversion should be set-up every time, in my opinion.

Really? I tightened them hard, pulled up my feet hard as I resist pedals at every traffic light and they hold just fine, better than some ****ty nylons ones on my Madison (which do get loose).

Well, it doesnt take long for them to start to kill themselves. As you see, they are made up of a few layers glued together. Those layers start to separate from eachother if you ride much. You cant expect much for ¥1000.

You have a brake so i guess losing a strap wont end your life. :) :):)

With that said, now I have to save money for Toshi ones. Damn!

I dont have brakes so i put a lot of thought into my straps. I also check them often for wear or signs of possible failure. Since you have a brake it might not be as crucial for you.

Takizawa's prices are pretty good on straps too.

Looking at the bedding...I understand what happend with the red frame / blue rims.

Sorry dude...no intentional offense meant...it's just that when people comment on flooring in photos of kazillion dollar bikes next to a Ferrari, critisism is going to happen.

This is my new Pista. I know everyone's got one but I love it. Its only about a week old so its pretty stock, just the Specialized risers and Speedium tires on it. I'm waiting for new pedals. Its my daily commuter.

my room is messy but i make very good money. i been looking for a set of nice red rims any suggesting? but those blue rims don't look too bad on it because the lemond decals have couple blue stripes on them if you look closely.
