Seriously, I love the drillium look on bike parts. I was admiring these hubs the other day:

oddly enough, that's not the first time someone has asked him to talk about those windows.

however, that bike is the first i've seen with road pedals and riser bars. how's that work out?

i remember the ad and thinking it was a great deal.

Oh yeah...that's the one! The best purchase I have ever made - I saw it on craigslist...called the guy, jumped in a cab...took it for a quick spin (1st time riding fixed) came back, (never swung my leg back over the toptube) gave him the cash and rode it home.
My roadbike, mountain bike, foldable, hybrid, etc, etc have been collecting dust ever since.

I swapped the seat (KHS seat by coincidence) with the one I had on my mountain bike and bought risers at a LBS for under $20...and I couldn't be happier. (except I'm starting to drool over some of the classic bikes on I see in this forum) - I thought about "fixin" my "80's" Pinarello...just don't have the heart to do it yet.

if those are RB021s, those champs are much longer than the ones i have. mine don't even reach to the end of the flat section before the shoulder.

Ok, I wasn't going to post this until I'd done some more mods to it so that we didn't have yet another stock Mercier Kilo TT picture floating around, but since I was asked to post a pic in a different thread I may as well post it here, too.

http://www.justanotherwebsite.net/images/mercier01.jpg

It's a stock Mercier Kilo TT in 60cm size, although it has a Dura Ace cog, a Surly lock-ring, and Weyless risers chopped down to 46cm (although the picture was taken pre-chop, with the bars at their full 60cm width).

this bike is fast as hell, geared 46/15. and sounds cool under viaducts

i like the yellow front end... and that's a serious TT dent!

stretch them out! you might get a blister twisting them on think champs only come in one length, just different thickness.

Moximitre 08-06-07 10:11 PM

yeah, I took it to a trusted mechanic, he told me it is strictly cosmetic. But I wa pretty worried. It came from some fratboy ramming it in to a bike rack.
