Sorry, carry on.

it's a little tiny 95 ford ranger with manual transmission and regular (not power) steering and windows I roll up and down by hand!

gah!

deathhare 08-07-07 07:32 PM

what does a manual tranny, manual steering and crank windows have to do with anything?

Sorry, I didn't mean to attack you, personally. For some reason, that just triggered a rant that is always brewing in the back of my mind. I knew that was a bad idea.

Says all the people sitting on PC's that mostly won't be recycled, using power generated by non enviromentally friendly means - brown coal for me are hassling a guy for having a car???

Lets not go into the bike bits imported from overseas and the carbon cost for transporting these bits to your area.

Throwing stones, glass houses or some such...

Back to bikes please :)

And I'm currently building my first fixie conversion so will add mine when it's done...

Nice bike thequickfix

Sorry gargiulo.mike - my remark wasn't meant to be aimed specifically at you - just happened to be the post I hit reply to...

Just that a full page was devoted to bagging the guy for owning a car instead of showing off classic Fixed and SS's.

I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms. :o

I was standing up for the guy. I just didn't feel like typing out that it was not some new POS, spewing out fumes, getting 13 mph. Not to mention that he is not out there (I hope) clubbing baby seals, shooting the last Dodo (yes that was a long time ago), dumping toxic waste into rivers (well we'll forget about runoff), and apparently not voting for GWB!

bonechilling 08-08-07 07:17 AM

That Murray just says, "Why bother?"
