^ What's that frame. I love it. With drops your face would be a couple inches from the ground.

chingon 11-13-07 09:43 PM

thanks:)

It's a Hamilton, hand built here in albuquerque, nm. A mixmash of tange, columbus and other high end tubing. Has internal cable routing that looks pretty slick, and the black is actually metallic.

cc700 11-13-07 10:01 PM

yeah, beautiful. the airone is elegant on it. i love the seatstays where they meet the tube. i want a japan spokecard bad! i'll have to make one.

Ingleside 11-13-07 11:14 PM

speaking of the arione, the fizik rep came by today and is letting me demo one out for a month. its funny how she had a red/black one to match the bike but i think its too matching. if i end up getting one i'll have to be all black. we'll see how things go. this seat is the complete opposite of what i was on before (specialised alias).

I picked it up on Monday. Just added the Nitto stem and Deda bars this morning (it had some crappy road stem/bars)

piwonka 11-14-07 12:31 PM

where'd that KHS come from? i know a guy here that had one and he just recently sold it. i don't think it was quite that large though.

technicssor 11-14-07 12:40 PM

i want that 650 araya super aero off that hamilton!! good lookin bike

bonechilling 11-14-07 12:47 PM

That's the first anodized Nitto stem that I've ever actually liked.

It was sitting in the back of an LBS near my work in Tampa. I was on my way to the airport last Thursday headed up to the Chicago race. I stopped in the shop (I never go to this shop) to buy some tubes for the race. A guy I know who works there was telling me one of the wrenches had a track bike in the back he was trying to sell. I was pretty stoked when I saw what it was. I got to talking to the guy and found out he was looking for a carbon road crankset. I had just purchased a Record carbon crankset on eBay a few weeks before for my road bike.

I came back with the cranks on Monday, and we traded straight up. I won't go into detail about what I paid for the cranks, but I basically got the whole bike for the cost of a new 75 crankset and chainring.

Needless to say, I'm very very excited about this bike.

I was between the blue or the gold. I ultimately chose blue because it matches the frame perfectly, and if I went gold I'd have to get all crazy-go-nuts with the gold NJS parts...also, I am not a ******.

That bike is incredibly nice. Really well thought out and put together. I just can't figure out if I like it or not.

Dersu Burrows 11-14-07 01:50 PM

Wow that is really really pretty.

^oZ 11-14-07 02:05 PM

I envy you sir

cc700 11-14-07 02:11 PM

the gum tires are just about the coolest thing i can imagine having on that bike. they're like the cherry on top of a sundae. so well done!

piwonka 11-14-07 02:14 PM

tripleC what size are those tubulars?

Velocity makes Deep V Tubies?

ryand 11-14-07 02:23 PM

Yeah they do, but its called a Pro Elite.

It isn't available in all of the colours though. That is totally a Deep V and therefore a clincher.

johnprolly 11-14-07 02:39 PM

I knoooooow.

They need a sarcasm emoticon.

ryand 11-14-07 02:43 PM

I was agreeing and disagreeing though.

They make them, but only in like 4 colours.

In other words, **** you, I quit, I win.
;) :rolleyes: :) :(:p:eek::mad::D:o

TehK 11-14-07 02:50 PM

That bike is amazing, those tires complete it so well.

they make the pro elite and they look similar.
the rims are custom painted.
the tires look like tubs and if the rim is wide enough the basetape won't show...so yeah it looks more like a tubular than a clincher.
oh well, not the worst mistake anyone has ever made around here, mister i'll put my HED on backwards then tell everyone they don't know how an HED goes on when they tell you it's on wrong.
