Guy in the apartments next to our house walked in on three guys stealing his stuff. They killed him, and left empty handed. And then shot a cop anwsering the call. So most people who are breaking into your house don't have much value in my book. And that's why my wife got me this for Xmas.

and honestly? I'd rather not have a gun period. no chance of being added those those numbers of people that hurt themselves and theirs accidently with the home defense guns. no killing someone who most likely is NOT trying to hurt me or my family, and is just a desperate kid. its not my place to decide if someone lives or dies, its also not the police or military's place. no "guns around, period" would be great. its not realistic at this point, but that's not going to stop me from not having one.
yeah, honestly, i'd rather have some hand to hand combat skills.

yeah, i used to live in a neighborhood where, when i first lived there, i was walking to the corner store in a red t-shirt, and a kid told me "yo, man, you're gonna get your ass kicked around here with that red shirt". he was calling it out all tough and ****, but i'm glad he did. the same corner store on a warm friday night will be full of blinged out cars and thugged out dudes, just a sea of people in blue.

I think you guys are being a bit hard on people. The way I see it is that if I were born into the same situation as most of the people committing these crimes, chances are I'd be doing the same ****ing thing. Besides, in every bad case there is still the opportunity for them to turn their life around. I'm sure the odds are highly against them, but just the thought is enough for me. If I ever own a gun in my life, it'll be strictly for shooting skeet cause that **** is fun.

Back in my paintball days I always told myself I'd have a gun loaded up in the nightstand. Nonlethal and pretty likely to scare the **** out of most robbers. Then I realized that the other 10%(made up number) who actually have guns would be prompted to shoot back and ditched the idea.

yeah. i forgot to add the (sarcasm) disclaimer. I've got nothing against Canada, I just like Texas too much to move anywhere else. I'll stick with my violent society here in the dirty south and arm myself to the teeth.
