And to conclude; oh the ****ing irony.
So charming, that the very person who deems himself so principled that he feels the need to carry a gun can't even stand by his own words that he types on an internet forum. And yet he seems to think he has some right to kill another person in a vigilante fit of self-righteousness.
Only adding to this irony, this person's own signature denigrates exactly the kind of moral fog and inability to clearly hold beliefs that people like him possess. Watch him squirm under only the slightest scrutiny from more analytical minds than his.
It is so easy. Might as well just lock the thread.

Guy in the apartments next to our house walked in on three guys stealing his stuff. They killed him, and left empty handed. And then shot a cop anwsering the call. So most people who are breaking into your house don't have much value in my book. And that's why my wife got me this for Xmas.

well i don't want to bring statistics into this because most of them are probably made up anyway, but it seems like most people home robberies occur at night or when they know the person isn't going to be home. this is because they're trying avoid the residents. there are also some numbers showing that people breaking into houses don't usually have guns, who knows if those are true or not.
and honestly? I'd rather not have a gun period. no chance of being added those those numbers of people that hurt themselves and theirs accidently with the home defense guns. no killing someone who most likely is NOT trying to hurt me or my family, and is just a desperate kid. its not my place to decide if someone lives or dies, its also not the police or military's place. no "guns around, period" would be great. its not realistic at this point, but that's not going to stop me from not having one.

yeah, i used to live in a neighborhood where, when i first lived there, i was walking to the corner store in a red t-shirt, and a kid told me "yo, man, you're gonna get your ass kicked around here with that red shirt". he was calling it out all tough and ****, but i'm glad he did. the same corner store on a warm friday night will be full of blinged out cars and thugged out dudes, just a sea of people in blue.

Back in my paintball days I always told myself I'd have a gun loaded up in the nightstand. Nonlethal and pretty likely to scare the **** out of most robbers. Then I realized that the other 10%(made up number) who actually have guns would be prompted to shoot back and ditched the idea.

yeah. i forgot to add the (sarcasm) disclaimer. I've got nothing against Canada, I just like Texas too much to move anywhere else. I'll stick with my violent society here in the dirty south and arm myself to the teeth.
