Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, I think they are Kalloy. Have worked fine for me... And I think they were only 10 or 12 bucks.

worth a shot,

I'm probably going to get flamed for it, but I prefer a very very slight rise flat bar on a quil stem. My bike is so comfortable I find it difficult to even test ride other peoples bikes.

to me that looks like the most un-********-comfortable handlebar setup ever.

Powerlite "expert" bmx bars FTW, shame they are 22.2 diameter

The bars are very short for commuting though stop and go traffic and the flat bars just give me a really good feeling for control. I promise you its very comfortable too. It doesn't feel like you're not stretched out enough at all. If you're ever in Austin, Texas . . . test ride it.

Yeah, amazing how all these parts only come in black these days - makes me crazy. Black parts rarely go, imho, with vintage bikes.

Just ordered some from Nashbar 2 days ago for $15.
