The one time I've been to IU, my friend and his little 5 teammates took me out that way. Beautiful area, especially with the leaves changing like they were, and the views down the valleys between the hills.

That's the one. Simply a gorgeous area.

Spent 6 years there in grad school in the early 90's. Still miss the place.

xylophonecks 01-11-08 03:48 PM

i'll be in bloomington on Feb. 2nd to play a show. with any luck i'll have my bike with me

nick666uenther 01-11-08 03:59 PM

I think I should be able to come down that weekend too, if i can I'll bring my bike. Have you found out where you're playing those other shows? And do you think you can bring my sewing machine up with you? If ya need the space, it's cool, but it would also be cool to not deal with shipping.

yeah, man, i can totally bring your machine. i was actually going to ask if that would be better than shipping it.(i thought it would be)
friday should be columbus, working on that right now.
sunday is going to be louisville.

are you in chicago now? our friend anna lives there, and she was thinking about getting train tickets to come out. if she could catch a ride that would be awesome, but not necessary at all.
i have to go set up for a show in baton rouge tonight, but i'll call you tomorrow and we can work stuff out.

Ok... I live in Spencer, about 20-miles from Bloomington, and commute to IU for class 5x a week, by bike.
I'm a grad student.

IMO, there's not much of a fixed gear scene in Bloomington. Or maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Sure, no problem. Shop is still "in process", but functional. Warmer days (+ 45) are best, the shop is not insulated.
