That pic above is of some of my old bar/stems.....
metallico pink bar w/cant remember the name, clear grips with no caps to show off the nice round ends on the bar.
Nitto B201aa riser chopped with clear ourys.
nitto B123aa njs bar chopped, because my knees sometimes hit the drops while fooling about. the black grips are Soyo Keirin long grips with the ends chopped off.
and a B123 njs bar.

Man, say what you will about the name, but those guys make some of the best looking bikes around, IMO. Very clean.
And also, anyone with access to a welder can make a whole d*mn bike, doesn't mean they want to. I know I don't have a CNC machine laying around my garage.

One of my formative experiences as a youth was seeing some neighborhood kid wreck and impale his groin on some unplugged bare flat bars. I must have been 8 or 9. They had to helicopter him out and they used a firetruck to hose all the blood of the street. Anyhow.

i think it was actually quite helpful, wroomwroom. we learned that it is possible to impale your groin while riding flat bars (unplugged and bare, of course), and firetruck hoses are an excellent way to get those pesky blood stains out of your street. very insightful indeed!
