Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

You should run a lockring or you might unthread your cog before she stops.

maybe i just like older bikes, but those seem to be the only ones with seat-tubes big enough for me to get my post into. they just don't make 'em like they used to. what am i supposed to do with 31.8 now with all these bikes with namby-pamby seat tubes. weak.

dood. the older bikes usually had smaller diameter seat tubes and it was common to have a seat shaft of much shorter length...

^^^Exactly. Some of the new bikes take really huge seatposts. At first they seem sleek and all, but when it comes to it, you gotta use really fat seat posts. However, I have this Token carbon post 32.4 mm that I got by mistake (eh), and still could not find a frame that would take it.

Oh, and...

One time, this girl rode over to see me. She was soaking wet before she even got to my house.

Any good raingear recommendations?
