Cyclone Cherubim
Recently got a Cyclone Cherubim. I was wondering if there were any more out there, please send in photos. I want to get it reconditioned but dont want it ruined, any views? Also any one got any info on Konno`s frames of this era, something the forums not heard before?

wow, that's fantastic. i've seen some of the later model cherubims, the ones presumably made by hiroshi, but not one this early. i would very strongly recommend against having it refinished. you could probably do a lot of careful cleaning and polishing to brighten up the existing paint and chrome, which honestly isn't too bad. the original decals and the painted signature aren't going to be easy to replicate, and even if they were, you'd end up with something that looks more like a reproduction than a piece of history.

great old frame! there is a good deal of info on the forums if you search the old threads.
I would also say no to refinishing. Elbow grease is good, and a nice patina is better!

That is amazing. Leave it as-is (just clean it a bit) and throw some old Dura Ace on it.

That frame is actually a piece of crap. I will take it off your hands and dispose of it accordingly.

Ive visited him a few times. He's an awesome guy. I've bought tons of stuff from him.
Jodypolk and I also broke the news on here of his upstairs treasure trove.
Just ask him or Makino if you havent already.
You could also contact Ceya on here...im sure he knows.
Im guessing you already knew but just wanted generate some sales interest in it along with the other ones you have for sale.

Your yellow Cyclone is hiding in one of my pics.

I think I can actually see two of those Cherubims on the picture...
I also remember DH saying earlier after visiting the place and posting pics that the frames stashed in that 'secret spot' were not very cheap at all.

There were quite a few Cyclones iirc. Most of them are rough as you'd imagine of a frame that has sat in a un-heated/un-airconditioned room since the 1970s.
Some of them were decent prices in comparison to US prices on stuff.
