Just theoretical. Although I do recall somebody saying something about layering fiberglass on their insoles in their Sambas in another thread for stiffness. I bet with some fancy dremel work and molding it could be done. Never put too much thought in it.

In regards to the shoe the OP is talking about.
Am I ever!

They also all have different descriptions. Some had weird things listed that were CLEARLY not this shoe. I'm wondering if theres some more shade to this shoe which is why I was wondering if anyone had gotten or seen them?
They're still sweet tho. Maybe steep and cheap will nab some.

They just seem crazy expensive if they don't offer any particular performance as a bike shoe.
Go stiff or go home. Er, um, something like that, but less gross.

But see... I feel like this shoe bridges that gap.
I would say all of the people on here riding clips are doing it because they either like it or because they have someplace where they're going to have to be walking around all day (school) and don't wanna change shoes.
While these kicks might not offer any "technology" they do offer style. I know I would rather ride clipless vs. clips ANY DAY if I could have some shoes like that where I didn't have to have my feet killing me when Im walking around all day.
I mean... my MTB clipless shoes I could walk in without scraping up floors... but they're cycling shoes. They have no cushioning. So my feet are just gonna be dead in like .2 seconds.
I know I know... HTFU.
Oh well...

seriously though, if you get a decent pair of shoes with a recessed cleat, it's really not uncomfortable at all. if you're still having trouble, maybe try throwing one of those doctor sholes inserts in or something? hell i don't know. i keep these shoes on all the time unless i'm not on my bike at all, which is rare.

No... This just happened to be one of the only websites with a decent picture.
I have some Northwaves that are MTB clipless. I use them for racing though as well. So they get pretty grimy. My road shoes are obviously useless for walking.
what shoes do you have? i'm currently wearing my vittoria's and loving it!

If I find a solid pair of shoes to wear with my clipless systems they would be using eggbeaters.

Those shoes are horrific. They remind me of payless's verson of skechers.
Not that i have anything against those two companies.... o wait yes i do they have ugly shoes.
