I guess the hinge would make a ghetto fit difficult,but the clamp looks thick enough to file it out a little bit and aluminum is easy enough to work with.

Ok... I figured out why I thought cross levers were internally routed.
Just went to the shop to look at some Tektro 726's. These levers are supposed to be used WITH another brake lever no? Like the old "safety" levers on the 10-speeds from the 80's?
I was looking at it and it looks like I could just hang the little cable nut on the outside and it would work fine. Is this how you guys are running these?

I used a longer bolt to use my Goldfinger lever on a slightly larger diameter bar than the original bolt would reach.
