BB lockring as spacer
I'm trying to create a wider chainline in order to work better with some new cranks.
Is there a danger in putting the fixed cog on free side, and using a bb lockring as a spacer to push it out a few mm?
thanks

..just make sure you use some loctite... there is 'some' danger.. its not ideal...but I've done it on multiple wheels for the last few years and havent had a problem yet.... <knock on wood>..

Assuming you are comfortable with hub bearings and hub cone nut adjustment, it would be more proper and hardly any more difficult to simply move spacer(s) from one side of the axle to the other to move the wheel in relation to the dropouts, thus also moving the cog relative to the chainring.
