the green looks creamier then the old green for some reason, which i always thought was metallic. i know it's all the same, but it funny how different lighting can give wildly different results.

Yeah, it definitely looks a lot more metallic in person. I tried for a while to get the color right on my camera but ultimately failed to get the detail.

Apparently mine was just delivered. Too bad I'm a few states away and won't be back for a month!

toldey 04-22-08 12:46 PM

woahhhhhh that is really weird. i have a 57cm and the fork needed to be cut down almost exactly 1 inch.

willypilgrim 04-22-08 04:55 PM

haha i can't wait to see how many frames get the wrong fork.

i suppose i only think it's funny since the 50 is essentially exempt from this problem.

Looks like you got the same length steerer as my 53cm fork. About 165mm steerer, with the 57cm frame headtube being 160mm.

Hey everyone quick question.
I'm going to be using the kilo frame with a set of forumula hubs front and rear. I am under the impression that i need a 103mm bottom bracket. Will sugino rd's work on this frame. On benscycle.com it says that sugino rd's will give you a 45mm chainline with a 103mm bottom bracket. Will this work?

Don't Formula hubs have a 42mm chainline? Is the 3mm something that can be ignored?

The Alien Bikes crankset does 42mm with a 103mm BB without putting the chainring on the inside of the spider. Looks just as nice as the Sugino RD in my opinion and it's $89. I run this setup and it's been pretty solid so far. No complaints.

I just grabbed one of the orange pics and opened it in Preview and it is much more saturated than in a browser window. Almost to the point of looking red.

craigmoyer 04-23-08 12:54 PM

The one that represents the color the best would be the full frame shot. Just letting you know.

SeanBonham 04-23-08 01:55 PM

Was there ever a final answer about the 55cm size? It was mentioned bla bla, but not sure if it was ever confirmed...

lanOGiro 04-23-08 02:09 PM

I'm thinking about buying a Kilo TT frame and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a decent wheel set. My limit money-wise is about $300.

Daijoubu 04-23-08 02:38 PM

You can find Mavic CPX22 laced to Formula hubs on ebay and other websites for 200$ shipped if you wanna go the easy route

You do not need a 103mm bottom bracket!!

You need a bottom bracket and crank set that will together give you a 42mm chain line (if you are using Formulas).
