If it's going to be a desirable aluminum frame it's got to have non aero tubing. Something along the lines of the concept/GT/cannondale.
I just can't get down with the FTP. Oh and the seat tube cut out would be rad, but not as important as non aero tubing IMO. |

Got mine on friday.
It is very orange. The pictures do not really show the color very well, it is very close to highlighter orange. Love the frame, though! |
Mine comes in the morning and should be ridable by Tuesday but parts wont be in till next week for me. I'll post pics as soon as I get it and during/after build. Mines white though not orange.

|
Here it is as far as I got in 45 minutes. I think the frame looks great! can't wait to get it out! Wheelset is in transit so these are just mock up's as I don't intend to run tubular's on my beater :) Hope it helps. sorry the pictures are not great it decided to rain and sleet in Oregon Today. Cheers!
http://brianr86.googlepages.com/IMG_...ze:600,415.JPG With my oder deep V (on a 130 hub thats why it's not on the frame) so you can get an Idea if it was matching. http://brianr86.googlepages.com/IMG_...ze:600,415.JPG edit: FYI if anyone wants this wheelset in the state PM me, It's on the way out. |
Hey, all you bikes direct haters do realize that those bikes are manufactured by the same guy who owns bikesdirect.com correct? I mentioned that I was a mechanic at a store once and I got my head bitten off. The guy that owns all the names lives in florida, he owns motobecane, mercier, and a million different beach cruisers. He just owns the names and buys the frames from a dealer in china. Peace
|
By the way I used to rock the white hour, same frame as the kilo tt. I got the store discount but than I realized that I was selling out.
|
I have an old fuji now, but the geometry sucks compared to my hour and I can't stop. So I guess the joke is on me.

Also, re-reading this, it isn't clear whether you're okay with BD or against them. |

No, I didn't have a problem with it at all, in fact I wish I still had mine, but I sold it for some reason. I just thought everyone always hated on bikesdirect and I found it odd that everyone was loving on it. They're a good bike for a price so buy away. Peace
