My son was saying recently how his Peugeot (his beater bike) would look great with a white saddle. Finally(!), a use for the 20 year old one buried in my parts box, a Selle Italia Turbo. It used to be on my '87 Trek.

If you're that concerned about your bike keeping a pristine appearance, I suggest never riding it at all. Once you've made that decision, you'll be free to use any color saddle you desire because your jeans will never make contact with it.

I had the same saddle for a few months (until a nasty crash shredded it).... it did discolor slightly but, i used those Mr.Clean Magic Sponge thingies (the little white sponge) with a small amount of water, every week or so... and it brightened right up.

Ialso have a white fizik arione. Picked it up at the T-Town bike swap last october not knowing what bike it would go on. For $10, I couldnt' say no to it. I rode it for about two months on a bike and only one pair of jeans rubbed off on it. It took on a slightly blueish color but nothing as bad as that bike in the snow. My newer pair of jeans didnt' rub off onto it and actually held rub off some of the color left by my older pair of jeans. This isn't a new saddle and the center strip of microtex had actually worn down to a foggy silver color (not sure if it started out as silver). It didn't take on any of the blue.
I normally ride a black arione. It hasn't taken on color from any pants or shorts. I have wipped it down a few times with some Dr. Bronners or Simply Green and discovered that it is actually pretty dirty.

Am I the only one that likes the look of a white saddle that is a bit blue/yellow and not all pretty and shiney any more? I think that a bike with a nice white saddle is fly but a bike with a white saddle that sees more crack than Whitney Huston is way more beautiful than the one that just looks nice.

oh! i dont know why i never thought of using that!
i have that fizik saddle in white, in the first couple of weeks it got a light bluish tint but i've had it like 8 months now - through the winter and everything and it's still just as white/slightly blueish as it was a couple of weeks after...
i dont clean it ever.
the bike's been dropped a couple times too like playing polo or whatever and it's not all scuffed up or ruined.
also that saddle pwns. it's so comfortable...
