Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

BB a dang nuisance...

so i had my allegro ninja powder coated (went with the dark gray matte), and the painter sealed off the bb prior to painting, but it seems like there is a bit of paint in some places in the first 1-2 threads... I can't thread the cups into the shell... should i use a paint stripper or something to get it out of the way? Could it be something else (other than paint) keeping this bb from going back in? The threads on the cups themselves look fine...

should i just take it to my lbs and have them tinker with it?

Nah, when I bought my IRO, it had overspray all over. My head mech (where I rarely work) had me chase em. You just need to make sure to line up the tool so you don't cross thread.

Won't hurt, but they shouldn't need it, unless the shell is some weird size.
