For all of us living in Queens who've wished for a shop to open up that carried some fixed gear stuff, it's time to rejoice. Well, maybe a tiny bit. A new shop called Spokesman Cycles has just opened up in Atlas Park off of 80th street in Middle Village. It's not a dedicated fixie shop but they do carry some track framesets, completes and other components to satisfy your needs. They also have a great select of general cycling components and gear. They had some sweet Bianchi road frames on the wall. They also had the biggest collection of Park Tools I've ever seen in a NYC shop.

Nice shop, friendly staff. It won't replace all the good shops in Manhattan but it's definitely nice to have a shop like this in Queens.

middle village is dumb far. there is a bike shop right off the queens boro bridge that carries track stuff too

Its not far at all. I live near middle village and the ride to the bridge is 15 min the most. Closer than going into the city. I've never stopped at that shop at the foot of the bridge. I always thought it was a place to rent out bikes.
