Bikes: types that go fast

TheBrick knows where its at, im pretty sure. but im pretty sure there arent any forks thatd fit my 1 inch headtube. im ****ed, right? so unless they make liek 1 inch bmw or similar forks ill just stick with my bike till next year and then ill get a new frame. that is, unless i win this 04 steamroller frame on ebay. if so, ill be attempting barspins with my theoretical BMW fork in no time.

a actually found a few 1 inch sized forks man look for something with at least a 400mm axle to crown measurement and around 35-40 rake. They would be mountain or cross forks.

Jenkinsal2, what you say may be true and i truly believe something somewhat obscure ( in the fork world) would be suitable for my bike and my needs, but WHERE THE HELL CAN I FIND ****S LIKE THESE? people keep saying things exist but wont be specific. im looking to spend some money in the next few weeks on something tangible, not some tidbit of information. i appreciate all the info, but can soemone, anyone, just suggest a fork that i try and buy.

its because you dont need to be specific there are literaly 1000s of forks that will work for you. It all depends on your geometry. If you really want something to not alter your steering too much you will need to do some measureing to find out how badly the extra fork length will change your angles. It seems like you dont feel like doing any work or even care what happens as long as you can barspin. So.... here this should work for you. https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...0&category=633

Do you have any idea of the measurements of the BMW fork as far as rake and axle to crown measure? I think its around 405axle to crown but no clue on rake.

Sam Miller runs a MTB fork but I don't know if it fits a 700c.
And John was always a cool guy.

Bikes: trick track, bmx

I've got a gangsta fork, it's the best and I love it.

Though that said, with the cost and wait time.. if I had to do it all again I'd probably just track down a mtb fork and be done with it. They are cheaper, available everywhere and made for being slammed.

But I have the BMW so I am still super stoked, it's one of the most coveted items in track bike tricks these days!

OP, just get a mtb fork. didn't you say you work at a bike shop?? How can finding a super basic bike component be baffling??

On the topic of barspins, I hit barspin up to pogo>barspin out today.

nah, its easy to find forks and all sorts of older **** in the bike shop. we have a bin in the attic of older mtb forks with 1 inch threaded steerer tubes. the thing is i just wanted someone who had one to tell me what they used so i had an idea (brand and model wise) of what a certain fork was like. but me and my fickle mind decided to scrap the idea of barspins for now. theres loads of things i can try and learn that dont need the barspinability of a bike. tonight when i was out trying tricks and **** i realized just how many things i cant do that dont need barspinnnyness- hell, i can only do a backwards circle sometimes and a wheelie for no more than fifty feet and my bunnyhops leave a lot (height) to be desired, im only somewhat good at skids and trackstands. so next year, when i come home from college for the summer ill just step it up and get either a whole gangsta track bike or just a steamroller or similar bike that would be compatible with a gangsta fork.
