how much do they charge for that upgrade? you can probably undercut that cost and get exactly what you want if you get them yourself.

Henry H 07-06-09 06:20 PM

It says 29.00 for MKS Sylvans

and like 54.00 for the MKS Sylvan Pedal Kit

Thanks a lot, but it has been sold I´m afraid... I had to sell one of my bikes to finance a geared roadbike.

Andreas--what kind of grip tape is that? I have been looking for leather or faux-leather tape for a while, but I don't wanna spend the cash for Brooks. Faux-leather is fine, I just want that leather feel. Your tape looks like it's leather or faux-leather.

Also, that's a great bike. I bet not too many people in Sweden have those. Stockholm is one of my fav. cities that I have ever been to...

It´s this one:

It kinda looks like leather, but the feel is more like rubber. Extremely comfortable!

I know that both Charge and BBB have similar ones that also are cheap.

Here's my Angus 56. I covered up the logos with yellow reflective tape. I don't do too well in the heat and humidity here in Macau, so I've taken to riding after dark. Those who've seen the driving style in SE Asia will understand the necessity of the tape.

The bike is all stock. I flopped and chopped the drops that came with it. Oh... I guess I added the tail light.

Super fun to ride. 46/15. Just enough to be a pain in the a$$ on the hills of Coloane. :thumb:

Would you recommend an Iro for my first FG? I would need it to replace my Schwinn 7-speed 40lb. cruiser to commute 14 miles (Mon-Fri).

I am currently waiting for the '10 Raleigh line to hit my friends shop to grab a new Rush Hour, but after reading all of the reviews I might just want to spend a little more.. right?

I am 5'7" male, and I measured my stand over at 28.5" but the shortest stand over height is 29". Would I be best suited on a 50 or a 53? (I'd like to get the Mark V Pro)

Does anyone know if the Jamie Roy is still available for purchase? Is it aluminum? And how much does it weigh?

*I just emailed Tony.

God I wish! I emailed them too, also wondering why they got rid of a bike that is so well liked you cant even find one used... They told me they "might" bring them back and that they stopped making them due to aluminum prices... Last I thought aluminum was cheeper than steel... I watch ebay and craigslist every day for one...

Speaking of Jamie Roy's, here's mine -

Definitely not. Compare scrap prices. Aluminum requires massive amounts of electricity to produce, and therefore also has some sensitivity to energy prices.

That said, I would consider a Jamie Roy were it still available. The remaining IRO frames (other than the Phoenix) are lacking in the tire clearance department.
