Compact means it has a shorter wheelbase for the tight handling necessary for track bikes, it dosen't really have to do with the sizing of the bike to your height. If you're going to be doing a lot of road riding you may want to look for a bike with more road specific geometry (longer wheelbase) that will be more comfortable over longer distance.

the geometry of the frame looks like a bmx. if there's a brass knuckle built up at your lbs, look at the difference in the angles of the frames. the eai has the slanted top tube which in turn tightens up all of the angles in the rear. my only complaint with the frame is the excessive toe overlap. don't get me wrong though, i still love my bike. i love the look of no decals, brake mounts, water bottle welds, etc. it looks very clean put together. i just wanted to give you my honest opinion on the frame. it's probably a great option with your size.
