Windsor "The Hour" vs. EAI Bareknuckle
hello, im currently looking to upgrade my frame from a Windsor 'The Hour' to... well just about anything under 400. The brassknuckle really caught me eye with its small frame size (im 5' 4" with a 28" inseam), and the pure track geometry. I'm just not exactly sure if this is the best upgrade i can get with my limited funds. If anyone has any suggestion/comments/experience with either frames, please help a fellow biker out.

Good frame. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.
where do you get bareknuckle frames for $400? I've only seen them for $700+. I am interested in them anyone have a link?
I've only seen $700+, too. Even used ones I've seen are >$400
ummm i just googled it and came up with http://www.thebikebiz.com/Frames_s/127.htm
do you mean brass knuckle?
ahh im an idiot, it's the brassknuckle* not the bare...
what is the difference between brasseknuckle and bareknuckle? Same company? Where are they made? Thanks
you are an idiot.
the bareknuckle is a steel frame, made of dedacciai tubing. the brass is aluminum. however my question still stands, despite the mistake, would the BRASSKNUCKLE be a suitable upgrade from my Windsor?

get an IRO, don't buy that $hit from taiwan, get an IRO and support a better company. Get the Mark V frameset for $269, and you'll have atleast another $100 for upgrades
you could upgrade the BB, crank, or anyting with that money |
do they make mark V's that small? im need a 48cm c-t.

If you like an aluminum frame with a sloping top tube, then by all means buy the brass knuckle. It comes in lovely pastel colors, too.

what the bunny with a pancake on his head is trying to say, is that iro are built in taiwan.
And try asking IRO a question from their website. I finally never got a reponse after trying several times. So I bought a Surly for a commuter.
What's wrong with Taiwan? :(
nothing's wrong with taiwan. i fail to see why it's so bad to pay money to the people that offer the product that has the most valuable.
Laff^ onespeed89 makes me laff all day long!
bikesdirect is a US company... seriously people.
if not form taiwan...where do you think most of the budget bikes are made in?
in this case i urge you not to buy surly giant trek gt iro kilo bianchi etc.......... |
i own a brass knuckle. i like the fact that i can carry it up stairs with one finger. however, the frame is too compact.
im not really familar with what compact or "too compact" means. im a really small guy, 5' 4", so i thought that compact would be good for me.yes?
